Early in life I learned to love agriculture from my family and through 4-H. In 4-H I raised sheep, a project that I personally believe everyone should do. In my experience, sheep have no desire to live let alone cooperate when being shown. Any animal project teaches responsibility, but sheep teach patience to the extreme. I did take many other projects in 4-H and most of them taught me something new that I enjoyed. As I moved into my high school education, I began to get involved in FFA as well. Like 4-H, I participated in many different contests and activities, most of which taught me something new that I likewise enjoyed. Those two organizations, as well as the people involved, helped to build my education and a desire to learn more. I realized that I wanted to make my life about what I had learned growing up. So, I decided to attend college at Morehead State University and dual major in Agriculture Education (K-12) and Math Education (7-12). While there, I also had the distinction of being a 4 year varsity award winner in Cross Country and Track. Since then I have continued to make agriculture a major part of my life.

As with many teachers, a lot of my material has be "re-purposed" from other teachers or sources. Anyone is welcome to use any material on my site, please use and/or edit anything that is of use to you. If you find something you believe is helpful, please share with others where you got it from. Agriculture Education takes a lot of time and effort, if something I have shared is of any help, I'd like as many Ag Educators as possible to have access to it.
